Letzten Sonntag fand in Tokyo die Siegerehrung der Famitsu Awards 2007 statt. Shigeru Miyamoto erhielt den begehrten Preis der "Most Valuable Person". In seiner Dankesrede betonte Miyamoto, dass er früher nie an Spiele wie Wii Fit gedacht hätte, sondern nur mehr Mario- und Zelda-Spiele für die Zukunft sah.
