Super Mario Maker comes with 100 pre-made courses on disc

Nintendo had made it known last week that Super Mario Maker would come with a number of pre-made courses. Now we know just how much. According to an official UK website for Super Mario Maker, Nintendo is including 100 courses that can be played without an internet connection.

Transform Into Creepy Skinny Mario in Super Mario Maker

In upcoming platformer Super Mario Maker on Wii U, a special Mushroom item can be collected to transform Mario into a creepy-looking, abnormally skinny Mario.

On Monday, Nintendo UK uploaded a “Nostalgia” trailer for Super Mario Maker. Toward the end of the 3-minute video, Mario exposed a long skinny Mushroom item by hitting a Question Block; he then ate it.

The strange Mushroom transformed Mario into something very similar to itself: an 8-bit nightmare fuel-induced plumber with an elongated and disturbing body brandished with the Italian’s signature blocky head. That’s the skinny Mario we’re talking about, in the image above.

At present, the name of this Mushroom item is unknown, but we’ll just call it the “Skinny Mushroom” for now. And for what it’s worth, collecting one of these Skinny Mushrooms will add a cool 1,000 points to your score total.

You can watch the sinister act unfold before your eyes by pressing the play button — if you dare — on the video below. For your convenience, we’ve started the video marker at precisely 2 minutes and 48 seconds, which comes five seconds before skinny Mario appears on the bottom portion of the footage.

Super Mario Maker, originally named Mario Maker, will release on Wii U in North America on September 11. Two 30th anniversary 8-bit Mario amiibo — Classic Color and Modern Color — are compatible with the design-your-own-levels platforming game.

Diesen Pilz baue ich in keinem Level ein. Der sollte gebanned werden und 1000 Jahre lang im ?-Block verschlossen bleiben!

EDIT:

Super Mario Maker will support over 99 amiibo costumes. With the exception of the Mii fighters, there will be compatibility for every figure, including Pokemon, Chibi-Robo, and some of the Animal Crossing cards.
