Next couple of amiibo rounds confirmed for Japan – Shulk, Rosalina, Sonic, Mega Man, and more

Nintendo is releasing amiibo figures in waves. In Japan, there will be eight figures in round two and another three in the third set.

Fan favorites like Shulk and Rosalina will be available in the second set. And perhaps most importantly, the first third-party figures are releasing in the third – Sonic and Mega Man.

Most of the figures pictured above are due out in Japan on January 22. Shulk, Sonic, and Mega Man are the three expected in February. Pricing is set at 1,200 yen each.

Just as a reminder, this is for Japan only. It’s slightly confusing because the amiibo rounds are different between the west and Japan. We’re getting Zelda, Luigi, and a few others in December, which is round two for us. But Japan is getting all of these figures in their first round at launch.

Sorry Doppelpost...aber by the way wurde nun bekannt, dass man auf einer Figur nur Daten für EIN Spiel speichern kann. Andere Spiele können die Figur nur lesen, aber nichts speichern

Und Toon Link wird in Mario Kart 8 nutzbar sein. Toon Link und Shiek in Hyrule Warriors.

Das ist ja mal wieder sowas von behämmert.

Bin mal gespannt wieviele Spiele neben SSB noch von der Speichermöglichkeit Gebrauch machen werden, aber früher oder später wird man dadurch in den einen oder anderen Konflikt geraten.

Weirdness: The Dual Wielding Samus amiibo is Commanding Bids of Nearly $1000 on eBay

Some of you may recall that just recently we reported on a dual wielding Samus amiibo that showed off a rather humorous factory error. Though having arm cannons on both hands would make basic activities a chore for Samus, she sure would be more deadly.

Unsurprisingly, perhaps, the owner who nabbed this unique amiibo has taken to eBay to make a healthy profit; the listing has a nice new picture to show it off.

This little figure looks set to make its owner a lot of money. At the time of writing $900 has been bid with nearly four days of bidding remaining. This is certainly a collectible, but that's a lot of money for a $12.99 amiibo; there'll likely be a surge when the deadline approaches, too.
There's a lesson for all of us — riches await if we can find a quirky and faulty amiibo figure.
