More Information On Nintendo Switch Online Is Coming In Early May



The latest financial briefing for Nintendo has given us a new update on the situation involving Nintendo Switch Online. So far, Nintendo has been very quiet in regards to the Switch’s online service. Well, Nintendo has announced that they will be providing “more information on our website in early May”. The launch is still slated for later this September.

Nintendo Reveals Details Of Nintendo Switch Online

Online play for the Nintendo Switch has been free since launch, although the upcoming planned service was due to launch not too soon after. Alas, Nintendo has delayed things again and again, while it’s remained unclear exactly what would be offered when the service finally does go live. Fortunately, Nintendo has broken the silence and released all the details of what we can expect, and it looks like they’ve been listening to fans.
In the U.S., pricing will be handled with four different tiers, which are as follows:

• One month: $3.99
• Three months: $7.99
• Twelve months: $19.99
• Twelve Month Family Membership: $34.99 (up to eight Nintendo accounts on different systems will be able to use the service)

As for the amenities that will be included alongside access to online play, the service will come with a Virtual Console-like collection of NES games that subscribers will have “free” access to. The titles available at launch are as follows:

• Balloon Fight
• Dr. Mario
• Super Mario Bros. 3
• Donkey Kong
• Ice Climber
• The Legend of Zelda
• Mario Bros.
• Soccer
• Super Mario Bros.
• Tennis

Ten more unannounced games will also be available at launch, and more will then be added on a regular basis. Also, all these games will include voice chat and online multiplayer support, as well as the ability to watch streams of friends' games.

Another feature to be included will be the option for cloud save data backups, which has been highly requested by the community since launch. Specifics are thin, but Nintendo says that backups for most Switch games will be stored online.

And just as a reminder, the service officially goes live in September 2018.

Sollte das wirklich so sein, kostet das ganze nur 5 Euro im Jahr. Geil

Also. Für Nintendo ist das Neuland.
Auch wenn sie das Know-how von DeNa beziehen könnten.

Aber ich denke mal, da wird es keine Limitierung geben.

Da bin ich ja mal gespannt wie Nintendo es reguliert, dass sich nicht 8 Freunde zusammentun.

Vielleicht müssen die Accounts auf einer Konsole sein...

Das dürfte nicht allzuschwer sein, ich bin unerhört schlecht in dem Spiel.

Ansonsten finde ich das Angebot preislich top, da werde ich auch als sporadischer Online-Zocker gerne draufeinsteigen.
Online-Multiplayer bei den Klassikern ist ne feine Sache – wurde auch höchste Zeit, dass das endlich mal kommt. Die Spieleauswahl ist ja nicht wirklich überraschend, auch bei den 10 weiteren Titeln dürfte es sich wohl um weitere Kandidaten wie Urban Champion, Donkey Kong Jr. oder Excitebike handeln.

Nachdem man so easy in ausländischen eShops einkaufen kann, glaub ich auch dass denen das scheissegal ist.

Ich hoffe nur, dass man die Familyoption nicht braucht, wenn alle Accounts auf einer Konsole sind.

Und ihre ollen NES-Titel können sie sich echt mal sonst wohin stecken.
In zwei Jahren werden dann mit großem Tamtam SNES Titel für den Service angekündigt und N64 oder Gamecube Fans schauen weiterhin in die Röhre.
